It was specifically designed for job seekers, students, case managers, employers, training providers, workforce professionals, and others seeking benefits and services. ALEXsys provides fast access to a complete set of employment tools in one web site. Surveys have proven that ALEXsys users find it convenient and very useful.

Data Privacy & Site Security

In ALEXsys, you will be asked to enter information regarding your skills, knowledge, abilities, work and educational experience. You may refuse to submit any of this information; however, doing so prevents prospective employers from viewing this data. After you enter employment information, you control whether or not to share it with employers in the form of a resume. Failure to complete and post on online resume may affect your eligibility for Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits if you are a current UI claimant.

Resumes that are posted online are eligible for viewing by registered employers.

Your employment information may be shared with Alaska Job Center Network partners and other public agencies who are able to provide job seeking and other employment assistance.

Sensitive information you provide, such as your Social Security Number (SSN), date of birth, gender, and race, is used in an aggregate form to measure the performance of our service. It is also utilized to confirm your continued eligibility for Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits if you are a current UI claimant. This information is not released to employers. When requesting sensitive data online, we secure its delivery to the database with encryption software called Secure Sockets Layer. If you still do not want to provide sensitive information online, please contact your nearest Alaska Job Center.

Access Agreement for ALEXsys web site

Please read this Access Agreement ("Agreement") carefully before accessing Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development (AK DOLWD) information through this web site or web connection to mainframe data (the "Site"). This Agreement is entered into between the AK DOLWD and any individual or entity who accesses or uses the Site (the "User" or "You.") As a condition to accessing the Site, the User agrees to be bound by the terms of this Agreement, the Intended Use/External Content Policy and AK DOLWD Privacy and Security Statement. Use of or access to the Site shall constitute acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these terms. If You do not wish to be bound by these terms, do not access the Site.

The Site is provided without charge. It is a World Wide Web site on the Internet that is designed to create an online community of Users. It is owned and operated by AK DOLWD. Termination
Your only right with respect to dissatisfaction with any policies, guidelines, or practices of the AK DOLWD in operating the Site is for You to discontinue accessing the Site. The AK DOLWD may terminate or temporarily suspend Your access to Secure Services, without notice, for conduct that the AK DOLWD believes is a violation of this Agreement or any AK DOLWD policies or guidelines (e.g., terminate access on inactive or closed accounts, etc.), or for other conduct which AK DOLWD believes, in its sole discretion, is harmful to the AK DOLWD or other Users. The AK DOLWD may discontinue operating the Site and/or terminate this Agreement without notice at any time for any reason in its sole discretion. In the event of termination, You are no longer authorized to access the Site, including the interactive areas, and the restrictions imposed on You with respect to Content from the Site, as well as the disclaimers and limitations of liabilities set forth in this Agreement, the Intended Use/External Content Policy and AK DOLWD's Privacy and Security Statement, shall survive.

Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AK DOLWD, its employees, and agents from any and all liabilities, claims and expenses, including reasonable attorneys fees, arising from breach of this Agreement, Your use or access of the Site or any Internet site linked to or from the Site, or in connection with the transmission of any Content on the Site.

Miscellaneous
This Agreement, the Intended Use/External Content Policy and AK DOLWD's Privacy and Security Statement comprises the entire agreement between the AK DOLWD and You, and supersedes any prior agreements with respect to the subject matter herein. The AK DOLWD may revise this Agreement or any other policy at any time and from time to time, and such revision shall be effective immediately following the posting of such revision on the Site. You agree to review this Agreement, the Intended Use/External Content Policy and AK DOLWD Privacy and Security Statement, periodically to be aware of such revisions. If any such revision is unacceptable to You, You must discontinue accessing the Site. You're continued accessing and use of the Site following any such revision shall conclusively be deemed acceptance of all such revisions. The provisions of this Agreement shall survive the termination or expiration of this Agreement. If any provision of this Agreement or any other policy be held invalid or unenforceable, that portion shall be construed in accordance with applicable law as nearly as possible to reflect the original intention of the parties and the remaining portions will continue in full force and effect. The failure of the AK DOLWD to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. This Agreement shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state of Alaska and the venue of any action brought hereunder shall be in the Superior Court. This Agreement is personal to You and You may not assign Your rights or obligations thereunder to anyone. Violations of any term by You may result in monetary, civil and/or criminal penalties.
